Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was created in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay and Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. Silk is the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother working and going to the rehearsals for her plays. Silk created a variety of commercials when she was still a kid. She earned a Bachelors in Arts from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto to Los Angeles in the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 after they met during an Actorsworkshop located in Los Angeles. They got married in December 2009 in a civil wedding ceremony. They were married in Fredericton on April 10, 2011, they renewed vows, following Silk's change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born child on the 13th of May 2016. Silk has a number of TV roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for this role. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk announced to her fans that she was expecting a baby at the beginning of January 2013, during an episode of Showcase Season Three Special. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. Then on the 20th of June 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to return to the series. CNN named Bo's portrayal along with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most talked about television couples of all time. E! voted it as top TV couple in the year 2013.
