Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished psychologist since 1993. She is also the director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of child eyewitness memories and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published widely as well as received numerous grants. She has also received numerous national and international prizes. She has advised numerous government agencies and governments around the globe on policies as well as research related to the treatment of children victims by the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
